Thorne Widgery shortlisted for triple success at the 2025 Xero UK Awards

Xero Award Finalist 2025

Thorne Widgery is celebrating another remarkable achievement after being shortlisted in three prestigious categories at the Xero UK Awards 2025.

The leading accountancy firm has been nominated for Community Impact, Mid-Size Firm of the Year, and the highly coveted Total Xero award, showcasing its continued excellence and dedication within the cloud accounting sector.

Thorne Widgery’s distinctive approach, highlighted by its pioneering XfE platform, has once again caught the judges’ attention.

“The XfE platform, specifically tailored for educational institutions across the UK, leverages Xero’s powerful capabilities to streamline financial processes and empower schools with enhanced financial management.

Being shortlisted in the Community Impact category recognises Thorne Widgery’s significant contribution to local and broader communities, showcasing the firm’s commitment beyond its professional remit.

“Meanwhile, recognition in the Mid-Size Firm of the Year and Total Xero categories reflects its unwavering dedication to digital innovation, superior client service, and effective integration of Xero software.

Daniel Crowther, CEO of Thorne Widgery, said: “We’re incredibly honoured to be shortlisted in these three prestigious categories at the 2025 Xero UK Awards.

“This recognition underscores our team’s passion, creativity, and commitment to making a tangible difference, both in our clients’ businesses and in our communities.

“We were an early adopter of Xero’s solutions and have championed it across our clients and within our industry, so it is great to receive this recognition.”

This recognition comes after the firm previously secured the Total Xero Award in 2023 and was similarly shortlisted for three awards last year.

Their ongoing recognition by Xero demonstrates Thorne Widgery’s sustained innovation, client-focused service, and impactful community initiatives.

“Our ongoing innovation with platforms like XfE demonstrates that we’re continuously pushing the boundaries to deliver outstanding digital solutions,” said Sam King, Thorne Widgery’s Head of Xero for Education.

“Being shortlisted again this year reaffirms our position as industry leaders in digital and cloud accounting.”

The winners of the Xero UK Awards 2025 will be announced at a glamorous ceremony hosted by Xero in September.
