One of the world’s leading online accounting platforms, Xero, has declared Herefordshire and Shropshire accountants Thorne Widgery as the winner of the prestigious Total Xero Award at the Xero Awards 2023.
The Xero Awards United Kingdom & Ireland 2023 are a highlight of the accountancy profession’s calendar and recognise the achievements of some of the UK’s most innovative accountancy firms.
The Total Xero Award category recognises accountants that have made Xero part of their business’ DNA and used it to help support their clients businesses.
Judges were impressed with the firm’s deep commitment to using Xero and the development of its own unique solutions to support clients, like its XfE platform for schools, colleges and academies.
Sam King, Head of Xero at the firm, said: “Xero has transformed the way accountancy practices work, and we are proud of our role as champions for this platform.
“Not only have we helped lots of businesses to implement Xero, but through our innovative developments we have expanded the reach of Xero to many more organisations.”
Thorne Widgery was an early adopter of cloud accounting and is now an expert in the field, having helped hundreds of clients to implement the latest systems from their offices in Hereford, Ludlow and Shrewsbury.
The Total Xero Award was presented to the firm at a ceremony in London on Wednesday, 19 April.
Daniel Crowther, CEO of Thorne Widgery, added: “This is a special moment for our entire team and ultimately reflects the lengths we go to in order to deliver the best possible service to each and every one of our clients across the region.
