This year we have chosen Herefordshire MIND as our charity of the year. This continues the firm’s long-standing commitment to supporting local causes that make a meaningful difference within our local community.
By choosing Herefordshire MIND we are shining a light on the importance of mental health and wellbeing.
The charity provides advice, support and services to people across the county who are experiencing mental health challenges, helping them to feel heard, supported and understood.
Mental health is an issue that affects individuals, families and workplaces alike, making it a cause that resonates strongly with the firm and its people.
Continuing a strong tradition of local support
Our latest charity project follows a successful year of fundraising in support of St Michael’s Hospice, which was our chosen charity during 2025 and 2024.
Through a range of activities and initiatives, the team raised funds to support the hospice’s essential work caring for patients and families across Herefordshire.
This ongoing involvement reflects our belief that businesses have an important role to play in strengthening their local communities, not only through the services they provide but through active support of charitable organisations.
We have always believed in giving back to the areas in which it operates, by supporting charities that provide vital services to local people.
Fundraising plans for the year ahead
Throughout 2026, Thorne Widgery is planning to host a number of fundraising events and activities in support of Herefordshire Mind. These will involve the wider team, clients and local contacts, with the aim of raising both funds and awareness for the charity’s work. Further details of these events will be shared over the coming months as plans develop.
Thorne Widgery looks forward to working alongside Herefordshire Mind over the year ahead and continuing its commitment to supporting charities that have a positive and lasting impact on the local community.
