Looking for a new accountant? Make the switch to TW in three easy steps
Switching to TW really is as easy as one, two, three! We make the process simple, straightforward and speedy.
Step 1 Review our proposal which we’ll send via email
Once you have had a meeting with one of our managers or directors to chat through your service requirements, we will then forward a quote outlining the relevant costs. This proposal will also contain an engagement letter for you to sign confirming you are happy to work with us. We offer different options and service levels depending on the individual business needs.
Step 2 – To accept, simply sign and send back electronically
Once the proposal is accepted. We will then put you in touch with our in-house Client Induction Manager, Lisa Heeps. Lisa will guide you through the next steps and introduction calls with the team members who will look after you for the services you require. So, you can get to know who you will be working with!
Lisa will talk you through the following:
- Help you complete our electronic individual and business web forms. You will need your UTR (unique tax number) and NI (National Insurance) number to complete these forms – if you have them
- Verifying your identity
- Registering us with HMRC as your official agent
Lisa will also call check in with you after 2 months to check you are happy with the progress and have any questions for us.
Step 3: Tell your current accountant that you’re moving to us:
You notify your previous accountant that you are going to appoint TW as your new accountant.
To help you, here is an example of the type of letter you should send to your previous accountant which you can download here:
We will then write to your previous accountant asking if there are any professional reasons why they do not accept our appointment.
At the same time, we will ask for details of your latest Balance Sheet information and any outstanding matters which need to be taken into account.
