Thorne Widgery recognised with three Accounting Excellence Award shortlistings

Thorne Widgery were finalists at the 2024 Accounting Excellence Awards: Mid-Tier Firm of the Year, the Client Service Award, and the Digital Transformation Award on 8th October.

While the firm didn’t take home an award, the recognition highlights Thorne Widgery’s innovative, technology-led approach and our commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

The Mid-Tier Firm of the Year category saw our firm competing alongside larger national and London-based practices, showcasing the strength of its service and leadership in the region.

Meanwhile, the Client Service Award nomination acknowledged the firm’s dedication to providing outstanding care to clients.

Finally, the Digital Transformation Award celebrated our excellence in accounting technology, particularly our work with Xero for Education (XfE), which has been widely adopted by schools and trusts nationwide.

Daniel Crowther, CEO of Thorne Widgery, expressed his pride in the team’s achievements, saying: “Being shortlisted for these awards is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team. It’s a privilege to be recognised alongside some of the best in the industry.

“Even though we didn’t win, the shortlistings confirm that our future-first approach to accounting is making a real impact.”

The Accounting Excellence Awards 2024 were held at the London Roundhouse on 8 October, with nominees and key figures from across the sector gathering to celebrate excellence in the profession.
