A year of fundraising by innovative accountancy firm Thorne Widgery has helped to raise more than £1,800 for St Michael’s Hospice in Hereford.
Chosen as the firm’s Charity of the Year for 2024, the Hospice is a cause close to the teams here, which is why they worked hard throughout the year to raise money.
The team at Thorne Widgery took on a series of fundraising challenges and activities in support of the Hospice in the last 12 months, including a half marathon, a sponsored skydive, a Christmas Bake Off, and a festive Jumper Day.
Their collective efforts helped to raise vital funds for this incredible charity, which provides compassionate care and support to people with life-limiting illnesses and their families across Herefordshire and beyond.
Reflecting on the success of the campaign, Daniel Crowther, CEO at Thorne Widgery said: “It has been an absolute privilege to support St Michael’s Hospice this year. Our team came together with enthusiasm and dedication, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who took part, donated, or supported our fundraising activities.
“St Michael’s Hospice does amazing work in our community, and we are delighted to have been able to contribute to their vital services.”
Thorne Widgery has a long and proud history of raising money for good causes and supports several local community groups as well.
Eager to uphold this tradition, the firm will once again support St Michael’s Hospice as its Charity of the Year in 2025, reinforcing its dedication to giving back to the community.
