We were first put in touch with Thorne Widgery after our current Accountants were no longer able to carry out our annual Solicitors Regulation Authority audit.
Although we were in the midst of Covid 19 TW carried out the audit efficiently, requesting information to be sent remotely until they were able to undertake a final sweep and visit the premises to complete the audit well within the timelines required by the SRA.
This audit is an annual requirement without which we would be unable to continue to practise and so it was imperative we had this carried out in good time in order to avoid any conflict with the SRA. As it happens the report did not highlight any breaches although valid recommendations were made to ensure we continued to adhere to all accounting guidelines.
