We are delighted to announce that one of our up-and-coming accountants, George Tindale, has won the Accountancy Excellence category at the HWGTA (Herefordshire & Worcestershire Group Training Association) Awards evening.
Beating dozens of other accountancy trainees from across the region, George took the top spot at these prestigious local awards for his hard work and positive attitude to learning.
George’s manager Sarah Jenkins, said: “He has done exceptionally well at college, passing every exam first time for his AAT qualification, and since finishing that has moved on to study ACA.
“I’m always impressed by his attention to detail and the quality of the work he produces for his level. He always uses his initiative and puts his learning into practice!”
This year’s event was also attended by our CEO, Daniel Crowther, who shared his story with guests about his rise from apprentice at Thorne Widgery to his current position leading the practice.
He said: “It was great to share my story with lots of students and trainees, and it was wonderful to see our own George bring home an award.
“Encouraging and developing the next generation of professionals is a really important part of what we do as a firm and so I was honoured to speak at this event.”
