A team of accountants and audit specialists from Hereford accountancy practice, Thorne Widgery, are to take part in this year’s RUN Hereford 10K for St Michael’s Hospice.
Consisting of Hannah Ayres, Rebecca Matthews and Katy Singleton, the Audit Trailblazers are hoping to raise hundreds for the locally run palliative care centre, which helps hundreds of people in Hereford and the surrounding area every year.
With just days until the RUN Hereford 10K takes place on 13 May 2018, the team are calling in last-minute donations to help boost their total, which has already reached more than £300.
To help the team raise even more, their employer Thorne Widgery hosted a cake sale at their office in Wyevale Business Park to increase their fundraising total.
Hannah, who is an Audit and Accounts Senior at Thorne Widgery, said: “Rebecca, Katy and I are really excited to be taking part in the RUN Hereford 10K this year and we hope that with the support of our colleagues and the local community we can raise hundreds for this fantastic cause.
“Those spectating on the day should keep an eye out for our blue branded t-shirts and cheer us on, as we would appreciate all the support we can get.”
Stephen Smallwood, Managing Director at Thorne Widgery, added: “We are all really proud of the Audit Trailblazers team for deciding to raise money for this fantastic cause. I would like to wish them all the best of luck on their run.”
