Thorne Widgery celebrates its second year in Ludlow as it helps local businesses through Coronavirus crisis

Award-winning accountancy firm Thorne Widgery has celebrated the second anniversary of its office opening in Ludlow.

Although the team at the office off Corve Street are currently working from home, the firm is still supporting lots of local businesses and individuals who are having to deal with the economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The office was launched in 2018 and the successful and innovative marketing campaign used alongside the launch helped to attract lots of new clients and has won the firm several awards, including a British Accounting Marketing Award.

During these difficult times, the firm’s use of cloud accounting software and new technology has proved vital in supporting Ludlow’s business community, as has its dedicated Covid-19 Business Support Hub.

Daniel Crowther, the CEO of Thorne Widgery was responsible for the launch of the office as its Director and is a lifelong Ludlow local. He said: “We are delighted to be celebrating our second year of success at our Ludlow office, even though we are currently in unprecedented times.

“We have been really encouraged by the support we have received from our clients and other local businesses and we hope the support we are currently offering is helping those that are struggling during this tough period.”

Dan added that as a Ludlow local he appreciated the unique pressures that the town was facing and hoped that more businesses would turn to local expertise to help them through this crisis.
