Leading accountancy firm Thorne Widgery has been announced as one of the finalists at this year’s Herefordshire Business Awards.
Highly commended by judges for its use of technology, particularly the development of online accounting solutions, Thorne Widgery has been selected for the Business Innovation of the year 2019 award.
In its written submission the firm, which has offices in central Hereford and Ludlow, highlighted its work as a development partner of global software brand, Xero and how it was delivering business intelligence and efficiencies to its clients through the wide range of innovations that it is creating.
Daniel Crowther, CEO of Thorne Widgery, said: “We are delighted that we have been named as a finalist at the 2019 Herefordshire Business Awards.
“We employ a forward-thinking approach to everything that we do, which is not only helping us to win clients locally, but gain new work nationally.
“Herefordshire is a much under-appreciated hub for innovation and we are glad that we are playing a role in highlighting the region’s importance to the UK.”
This latest shortlisting comes after their win at the Accounting Excellence Awards 2019, where Daniel was named Practice Pioneer of the Year. The team at Thorne Widgery are also waiting to find out if they are winners at this year’s British Accountancy Awards, which take place on 25 September 2019.
“We have had an astounding year, which keeps going from strength-to-strength, however, none of this would be possible without the support of our team and clients,” Dan added.
The winners of this year’s Herefordshire Business Awards will be announced at a special ceremony on 25 October 2019 at the Three Counties Hotel in Hereford.
