Accountants pull charity funds out of their sleeves with Christmas Jumper day

The team, raising funds for The Stroke Association

Hereford accountancy firm Thorne Widgery has managed to raise more than £120 for The Stroke Association with a festive jumper day and bake-off.

Staff and Directors at the firm dug out their best Christmas pullovers and baked a wide range of cakes and delicacies, which were sold at their office to raise money for the national charity.

The Stroke Association is the firm’s nominated charity of the year and a cause that is close to the hearts of all the team.

The Association works to prevent strokes, and to support those affected by stroke, fund research, and campaign for the rights of stroke survivors.

Daniel Crowther, CEO at Thorne Widgery, said: “Fundraising and giving back to the community is a really important part of our practice and we will be taking part in several events over the next year to help raise money for this wonderful cause.

“We are very proud of our staff and all that they do to make Thorne Widgery a great place to work. Everyone really got into the spirit and we were blown away by the variety of delicious bakes bought in by our fantastic team.”
