Rural businesses from across Herefordshire descended upon the Three Counties Hotel in Hereford on 21 November 2018 for the latest Rural Business Advice Day, which once again featured a talk and one-to-one consultations from our team.
Organised by Rural Hub Herefordshire, the day-long event was packed with presentations and stalls featuring some of the region’s leading agricultural advisers and businesses, who were on hand to offer support on many aspects of farming and rural business.
This popular free event saw our team present and answer questions on Making Tax Digital and conducting face-to-face consultations on cloud accounting software, including live demonstrations of Xero and its benefits for farmer’s financial planning, which was well received by guests.
With just over five months to go until the introduction of Making Tax Digital, it was important that businesses were aware of their responsibilities and the need to act now to prepare for the changes ahead.
Other talks during the event focused on Brexit, planning permission and rural crime prevention.
