Hereford River Carnival Duck Race is a quacking time for Thorne Widgery - Thorne Widgery

This year’s Hereford River Carnival Duck Race has seen two new competitors in the form of green rubber ducks sponsored by Thorne Widgery’s offices in Ludlow and Hereford.

The race that took place on 5 May 2018 saw hundreds of yellow and green plastic ducks tipped into the river Wye from the Town Old Bridge to raise money for a number of local charities.

Run by City of Hereford Rotary Club, the event regularly draws hundreds of spectators and helps to raise hundreds of pounds, which is why, as part of its commitment to help local communities, Thorne Widgery, sponsored two of the ducks that raced down the Wye.

Stephen Smallwood, Managing Director at Thorne Widgery, said: “We were delighted that both of our offices could help this year’s race by sponsoring a duck. We hope that our small contribution will go some way towards helping those charities supported by City of Hereford Rotary Club.”
