Forward-thinking accountancy firm, Thorne Widgery, has announced the appointment of three new junior members of staff to its team, as it continues to support talented people into a career in the accountancy sector.
George Tindale, Amy Pullen and Ben Morgan have all recently been appointed by the firm, which has offices in Hereford and Ludlow and will be undergoing training within the firm in the months and years to come.
Both George and Ben will be working towards the Association of Accounting Technicians Level 3 qualification, as part of the firm’s successful accounting apprenticeship scheme.
Ben has a background in agriculture having worked with his father in the industry after leaving college and has spent the last three years working with McCartneys Livestock and Estate Agents, where he worked in credit control.
Meanwhile, George joins the practice directly from Hereford Sixth Form College, having realised that Thorne Widgery’s apprenticeship scheme could offer him a fantastic chance to kick-start his career.
The firm’s other recent appointment, Amy, will be working within the award-winning practice’s marketing department as an apprentice, whilst studying Digital Marketing.
With a keen interest in social media and qualifications in film studies, photography and business studies, she is the perfect addition to the team.
Stephen Smallwood, Managing Director at Thorne Widgery, said: “We are really excited to be welcoming these new apprentices to our practice. Each of them comes to us with their own unique set of skills and passions, which we hope we can put to good use in our innovative firm.
“Each of them will now undergo training alongside working day-to-day with our clients and I look forward to seeing how they get on with their examinations and professional development.”
Thorne Widgery has a long history of supporting apprentices and regularly takes on school and college leavers, as well as graduates. Its apprenticeship scheme has been recognised at awards several times and is a key reason behind its ability to draw new talent to the practice.
