We were named as finalists at the Hereford and Worcester Chamber of Commerce Awards 2017.

Based on our ground breaking “XfE” software initiative, our firm was selected for the Excellence in Innovation Award, which recognises the region’s most innovative businesses.

Stephen Smallwood, Managing Director at Thorne Widgery, said: “We really were absolutely delighted to have been selected as a finalist at the Hereford and Worcester Chamber of Commerce Awards 2017, especially as you don’t often see the words “accountants” and “innovative” in the same sentence!”

Thorne Widgery – winner of Xero’s “Accounting Partner of the Year” award for England West 2015

As one of, if not THE fastest growing accounting software packages in the UK, any award from Xero is not to be sniffed at and so to win their “Accounting Partner of the Year” award for England West in 2015 was a real feather in our cap.

To be recognised by a business that has itself made huge progress in recent years by giving its customers what they want – something that makes running a business so much easier – we think this award was a reflection of our efforts to deliver relevant, proactive customer service.

We think Xero is a brilliant tool for helping business owners run their own businesses more effectively (so much so we use it ourselves) – but when we take the functionality of Xero (and their add on partners) and combine it with our own proactive approach to business advice and tax planning, we think the combination is difficult to beat.

Needless to say we are going to rest on our laurels – to us winning the award simply meant we were on the right track – and hasn’t stopped us trying even harder to deliver an even better service.
